Here at Hay in a Needlestack our goal is to prevent you from wasting your time digging through all the crap there is streaming on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. We will watch as many movies as we can, mainly focusing on random movies most people have never seen or heard of in order to find a hidden gem among all the crap (or a piece of hay in a stack of needles). We will list the short and sweet movie reviews on here as we watch and will categorize the genres in order to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for. Thrillers and horror movies will be the main focus because there are so many shitty ones out there. We will be rude and honest about the movies and will tell you whether or not to waste a minute of your precious time on one of these films or not. We will also rate each movie so you can see how they compare.
The rating system on here is a little different that your usual X/10 system you see on things like IMBD. We are rating these movies out of 10 but our main focus is on whether or not they are worth your time to watch and not just focused on how great the movie is or isn’t. For example any of the more mainstream movies we see on Netflix will almost always get a 9 or 10 out of 10 rating because they should almost all be well made movies that are worth watching if you have never seen them, but if one of those movies does get a lower rating then we thought it has some flaws, was overrated or it might just suck!. So basically if some random movie you have never heard of gets a 7 or 8 out of 10 you should sit your ass down and check it out. Anything rated below a 5 is a watch at your own risk and if you watch a 1 or a 2 then I assume you are piss drunk or high as a kite.
